AN ACT to authorise the Discontinuance of the Opera- tion of the Railway from Mt. Magnet to Black Range, and for other purposes.

[Assented to 21st January, 1949.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1.    This Act may be cited as the Railway (lit Magnet- Short title.

Black Range) Discontinuance Act, 1948.

(1) The railway as authorised by and constructed tinuance

(No. 21 of 1907) shall, on the commencement of this Act, cease to be operated until the Governor otherwise declares, and the material thereof may be used in the construction or maintenance of any other authorised railway or may be sold, disposed of or otherwise dealt with as the Minister for Railways may determine.

(2) The cost of the said railway as charged to the Government Railways Capital Account may be omitted from the accounts prepared under Part IV of the Gov- ernment Railways Act, 1904-1947.
