DISCONTINUANCE.

No. 11 of 1948.

AN ACT to authorise the discontinuance of the opera- tion of the Loop Line of Railway from the Hannan 's Street Station, Kalgoorlie-Gnurnballa Lake Railway, to the Kamballie Station, on the same Railway, and for other purposes.

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Railway (Brown Hill Loop Kalgoorlie-Gnumballa Lake) Discontinuance

Act, 1948.

Discontinu-

(1) The line of railway as authorised by and con- structed under the Brown Hill Loop Kalgoorlie-Gnum- balla Lake Railway Act, 1900 (No. XII. of 1900), shall, on the commencement of this Act, cease to be operated until the Governor otherwise declares, and the material thereof may be used in the construction or maintenance of any other authorised railway or may be sold, disposed of or otherwise dealt with as the Minister for Railways may determine.

(2) The cost of the said line of railway as charged to the Government Railways Capital Account may be omitted from the accounts prepared under Part IV. of the Government Railways Act, 1904-1947.
