Rail Infrastructure Order 2007

I make the following order under section 8(1) of the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 .26 November 2007

1Short titleThis order may be cited as the Rail Infrastructure Order 2007 . 2CommencementThis order takes effect on the day on which its making is notified in the Gazette. 3InterpretationIn this order – Act means the Rail Infrastructure Act 2007 . 4Designation of Rail Infrastructure ManagerPacific National (Tasmania) Pty Limited ACN 079 371 305 is designated as Rail Infrastructure Manager for the following parts of the rail network: (a) the railway specified in item 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act; (b) that part of the railway specified in item 2 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act as runs from Bridgewater to the 15.5 kilometre post situated at the western end of the Boyer rail yard; (c) the railway specified in item 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act; (d) the railway specified in item 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act, excluding that part of the East Tamar junction rail infrastructure as is located between the historic Inveresk rail yard and a point 50 metres south of the centreline of Henry Street, Launceston; (e) that part of the railway specified in item 6 of Part 1 of Schedule 1 to the Act as runs from Western Junction to the 181 kilometre post situated at the western end of the Burnie rail yard.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the order) This order designates Pacific National (Tasmania) Pty Limited as Rail Infrastructure Manager for certain parts of the State’s rail network.
