Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Radiocommunications Act 1983.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations.

2. After regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations the following regulations are inserted:

Prescribed period for the purposes of sub-section 21 (5) of the Act

“5a. For the purposes of sub-section 21 (5) of the Act, the period of 2 years is prescribed in relation to all frequency reservation certificates.

Prescribed period for the purposes of sub-section 24 (5) of the Act

“5b. For the purposes of sub-section 24 (5) of the Act, the period of 2 years is prescribed in relation to all transmitter licences.”.

3. After regulation 6 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

 

Prescribed period for the purposes of sub-section 35 (3) of the Act

“6a. For the purposes of sub-section 35 (3) of the Act, the period of 2 years is prescribed in relation to all temporary permits.”.

4. After regulation 7 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prescribed period for the purposes of sub-section 38 (5) of the Act

“7a. For the purposes of sub-section 38 (5) of the Act, the period of 2 years is prescribed in relation to all receiver licences.”.
