Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Radiocommunications Act 1983.

Principal Regulations

1. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations’’ means the Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations.

2. After regulation 10 of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prescribed classes of officers and prescribed organisations: subparagraph 25 (1) (g) (v) of the Act

“10a. Each organisation specified in an item in Schedule 3aaand the class of officers, comprising the officers of that organisation, specified in that item are prescribed for the purposes of subparagraph 25 (1) (g) (v) of the Act.”.

3. After regulation 18b of the Principal Regulations the following regulation is inserted:

Prescribed organisations: paragraph 65 (4) (a) of the Act

‘‘18c. Each organisation specified in an item in Schedule 3bis prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 65 (4) (a) of the Act.”.

 

Schedule 2a

4. Schedule 2a to the Principal Regulations is amended:

(a) by inserting in column 2 in item 1’’, 148 to 174 MHz,” after “136 MHz”; and

(b) by omitting from column 2 in item 7 “or” and substituting “and”.

Schedule 3aa

5. The Principal Regulations are amended by inserting after Schedule 3 the following Schedule:
