Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Radiocommunications Act 1983.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 5 October 1992.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 2 (Interpretation)

3.1   Subregulation 2 (5):

Insert “or 92a”, after “section 24”.

4.   New Regulation 12a

4.1   After regulation 12, insert:

Allocation system—Multipoint Distribution Station Licences (section 92A of the Act)

 “12a.For the purposes of subsection 92a (1) of the Act, a licence granted under the Act for a multipoint distribution station referred to in column 2 and described in column 3 of item 66 in Schedule 1, is a licence of a kind for which the Minister may determine a price-based allocation system.”.
