Radiocommunications Licence Fees Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE DEPUTY OF THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Radiocommunications Licence Fees Act 1982.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 September 1984.

Fees in respect of fixed stations, Class C

2. Regulation 3A of the Radiocommunications Licence Fees Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) “a licence included in the class of licences referred to in Item 32 in the Schedule” and substituting “a fixed station, Class C, licence”;

(b) by omitting the table in sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following table:

Fees in respect of certain stations used in the operation of commercial television stations

3. Regulation 4 of the Radiocommunications Licence Fees Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the definition of “relevant licence” and substituting the following definition:

“‘relevant licence’ means a licence, being a fixed receiving station licence or a fixed station, Class C, licence, that is granted or renewed during the prescribed period for a period not exceeding 12 months in duration;”;

(b) by omitting paragraph (3) (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a) in relation to the operation of which there are used—

(i) one or more fixed receiving stations; and

(ii) one or more fixed stations, Class C; and ” ; and

(c) by omitting paragraph (5) (a) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(a) in relation to the operation of which there are used—

(i) one or more fixed receiving stations; and

(ii) one or more fixed stations, Class C; and”.

Schedule

4. The Schedule to the Radiocommunications Licence Fees Regulations is repealed and the following Schedule substituted:
