1Name of regulation

This regulation is the Radiocommunications Amendment (Datacasting Transmitter Licence) Regulation 2013.

2Commencement

This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.

3Authority

This regulation is made under the Radiocommunications Act 1992.

4Schedule(s)

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1—Amendments

Radiocommunications Regulations 1993

1  Regulation 32A

Repeal the regulation, substitute:

32A  Datacasting transmitter licence

           (1)  This regulation is made for paragraph (c) of the definition of datacasting transmitter licence in section 5 of the Act.

           (2)  The following transmitter licences, as defined in the Radiocommunications (Interpretation) Determination 2000, are prescribed for that paragraph:

                   (a)  a PTS licence that authorises the operation of a PMTS Class B (as defined in that determination);

                   (b)  a scientific licence.
