RADIATION SAFETY (QUALIFICATIONS) AMENDMENT

REGULATIONS 1893

Made by His Excellency the Governor in Executive Council.

Citation

1.   These regulations may be cited as the Radiation Safety (Qualifications)

Schedule 1 amended

2.   Schedule 1 to the Radiation Safety (Qualifications) Regulations 1980* is

amended in item 9 —

(a) by deleting "and" after paragraph (t);

(b)	by deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (u) and substituting a semi-colon; and
(c)	by inserting after paragraph (u) the following paragraphs —

(v)"Interim Guidelines on Limits of Exposure to 50/60 Hz Electric and Magnetic Fields (1989)" published by the NHMRC in December 1989";

(w) "Radiofrequency Radiation Part 1: Maximum Exposure Levels — 100 kHz to 300 GHz" published as Australian Standard AS 2772.1 — 1990 by the Standards Association of Australia in 1990;

(x)"Occupational Standard for Exposure to Ultraviolet Radiation (1989)" published by the NHMRC in December 1989; and

(Y)	"Laser Safety" published as Australian
Standard AS 2211 — 1991 by the Standards IP
Association of Australia in 1991.
