Racing (Totalizator Betting) Amendment Regulations 2008

I, the Governor in and over the State of Tasmania and its Dependencies in the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, make the following regulations under the Racing (Totalizator Betting) Act 1952 .8 December 2008

1Short titleThese regulations may be cited as the Racing (Totalizator Betting) Amendment Regulations 2008 . 2CommencementThese regulations take effect on the day on which their making is notified in the Gazette. 3Principal RegulationsIn these regulations, the Racing (Totalizator Betting) Regulations 1976 are referred to as the Principal Regulations. 4Regulation 122S amended (Prescribed commission – section 57FA(3) of Act)Regulation 122S of the Principal Regulations is amended as follows: (a) by omitting "AB Trav och Galopp (ATG)" from subregulation (1) and substituting "either AB Trav och Galopp (ATG) or Youbet.com"; (b) by omitting "the Act." from the definition of "international pooling agreement" in subregulation (2) and substituting "the Act;"; (c) by inserting the following definition after the definition of "international pooling agreement" in subregulation (2): Youbet.com means the company of that name incorporated in Delaware, United States of America (Federal ID number 95-4627253).
