AN ACT to amend the Racing Restriction Act, 1917.

[Assented to 16th December, 1925.]

B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, byCouncil and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, inand with the advice and consent of the Legislative

this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Racing Restriction Act Amendment Act, 1925, and shall be read as one with the Racing Restriction Act, 1917, hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Amendment of

sec. 3.

Section three of the principal Act is hereby amend-

ed:

(1) By inserting in Subsection (2) thereof, after the words "thirty-five," the words "outside the Fre- mantle district, and ten within the Fremantle dis- trict"; and by adding a proviso to the said sub- section (2), as follows:

Provided that the Treasurer may, at the request of the West Australian Trotting Association, auth- orise trotting meetings to be held on not exceeding two additional days in any year, in aid of any public hospital or other charitable or patriotic purpose.

(2) By adding a subsection as follows:

For the purposes of this section the words "Fre- mantle district" mean the area within a circle having a radius of five miles from the Town Hall, Fremantle.
