AMENDMENT BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent MaJesty, AOT OF 1931. by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- Short title 1. This Act may be cited as " The Racing Regulation and . 1931. GAMING. Racing Regulation ]i7 urther Amendment Act. 13757 Amendment of the Principal Act. 2. (1.) Section four of the Principal Act is amended Amendment by the addition thereto of the following subsection, to s. 4. . namely:- "[2.] Notwithstanding anything hereinbefore con- tained in subsection one of this section, the Governor in Council shall have power and authority to grant permission tq a racing club approved by the Governor in Council, as referred to in subsection one, to hold trotting meetings within the Area on not more than twelve days in any one year, such twelve days to be inclusive of the six days referred to in the said subsection one: Provided that before such permission is granted, the racing club concerned shall satisfy the Minister by the production of such evidence or otherwise as he may in his discretion require that it has acquired the sole and exclusive use of a racecourse in the Area for the purpose of holding thereon such trotting meetings." (2.) Section four, as it originally appears in the Principal Act, is re-numbered subsection one of section four accordingly; and the words" Subject as is herein- after provided" are inserted before the words "In respect of" occurring at the commencement of the said section.
