Racing and Gaming Amendment Act 1997

An Act to amend the Racing and Gaming Act 1952

[Royal Assent 27 June 1997]

Be it enacted by His Excellency the Governor of Tasmania, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and House of Assembly, in Parliament assembled, as follows:

1Short titleThis Act may be cited as the Racing and Gaming Amendment Act 1997 . 2CommencementThis Act commences on the day after the day on which it receives the Royal Assent. 3Principal ActIn this Act, the Racing and Gaming Act 1952 is referred to as the Principal Act. 4Section 57U amended (Totalizator licences) Section 57U of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (2A) . 5Section 66 amended (Control of on-course telephone betting) Section 66(3) of the Principal Act is amended as follows: (a) by omitting from paragraph (a) "$200" and substituting "$100"; (b) by omitting from paragraph (b) "$1 600" and substituting "$1 000".
