s1 2 s5 Racing and Betting Amendment (No. 1) No. 229, 1994 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Racing and Betting Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1994. ˙ Regulation amended 3. This regulation amends the Racing and Betting Regulation 1981 . ˙ Replacement of s 52AA (Determination of payment) 4. Section 52AA— omit, insert— ˙ ‘ Distribution of net profit under categorisation scheme ‘ 52AA.(1) The Totalisator Board may distribute a part of its net profit to racing clubs under a scheme recommended by the Racing Industry Coordinating Committee and approved by the Minister. ‘ (2) The scheme must provide for— (a) the allocation of each club to a category; and (b) the conditions that apply to each category; and (c) how the amount to be distributed to each racing club is to be calculated; and (d) when the amount is to be distributed.’. ˙ Amendment of s 52AB (Eligibility for payment) 5. Section 52AB, after ‘pay an amount’— insert— ‘mentioned in section 52AA(2)’.
