Amendment Act 1980 by substituting references to the Human Rights Commission Act 1981 for references to the Human Rights Commission Act 1980

IT ENACTED by the Queen, and the Senate and the House of Representatives of the
Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:
Short
title, &c.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Racial Discrimination Amendment Act 1981.
(2)
The Racial Discrimination Amendment Act 19801
is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
Commencement
2. This Act shall come
into operation on the day on which the Human
Rights Commission Act 1981 comes into operation and the Principal Act shall
come into operation on that day as amended by this Act.

3. Section 2 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting “1980” and substituting “1981”.
Interpretation
4. Section 3 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting “1980” and substituting “1981”.
Functions
of Commission
5. Section 4 of the
Principal Act is amended by omitting “1980” and substituting “1981”.
