No. 3 of 1946.

AN ORDINANCE

To amend the Racecourses Ordinance 1935-1945

and for other purposes.

BE it ordained by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the Seat of of Australia, with the advice of the Federal Executive Government Acceptance Act 1909-1938 and the Seat of Government
{Administration) Act 1910-1940, as follows:—
1.— (1.) This Ordinance may be cited as the Racecourses Shorttl tIe
Ordinance 1946.* and citation.

(2.) The Racecourses Ordinance 1935-1945 is in this Ordinance

referred to as the Principal Ordinance.

(3.) The Principal Ordinance, as amended by this Ordinance,

may be cited as the Racecourses Ordinance 1935-1946.

2. Section three of the Principal Ordinance is amended by Definitions,

adding at the end of the definition of " Race-meeting " the words

" or foot-racing ".

3. The Schedule to the Principal Ordinance is amended by The schedule,

omitting from the third column the words and figures " Sections 3 to 5 (inclusive) " and inserting in their stead the words and figures " Sections 2 to 5 (inclusive) ".

4. Section two of the Gaming and Betting Act 1906 of the Amendment of

Capital Territory is amended by adding at the end of the definition 1906, State of New South Wales in its application to the Australian Betting Act
of " Race-meeting " the words " or foot-racing ".
