394 (I ueenslant ANNO SEPTIMO DECIMO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 50 of 1968 An Act to Amend The Rabbit Acts 1964 to 1966 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TU 23RD DECEMBER, 19681 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. (I) Short title. This Act may be cited as the Rabbit Acts Amendment Act 1968. (2) Principal Act. The Rabbit Acts 1964 to 1966 are in this Act referred to as the Principal Act. (3) Collective title. The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be collectively cited as the Rabbit Act 1964-1968. 2. Amendment of s. 11 (1). Section II of the Principal Act is amended by omitting paragraph (b) from subsection (1) and inserting in its stead the following paragraph:- (b) appoint for each such division an advisory committee consisting of a Land Commissioner or any other officer of the Department of Lands, who shall be chairman, and two other persons. each of whom shall be a member of a Local Authority, the Area or part of the Area whereof is within the division in question. 3. Amendment of s. 50 , Section 50 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting subsection (2) and inserting in its stead the following subsection :- " (2) For the purposes of subsection (I) of' this section the Minister, Board or. as the case may be. Rabbit Acts Amendment Act 1968, No. 50 395 in the manner hereinafter set forth of the proposed use of any poison or poison baits- (a) (in the case of the proposed use of any poison or poison baits on any holding) by giving the owner of the holding or, if the owner is not the occupier thereof, the occupier thereof at least seven days' notice in writing of the approximate time and the approximate localities when and where the poison or poison baits is or are intended to be used; (b) (in the case of the proposed use of any poison or poison baits on any road or reserve) by giving at least seven days' notice by advertisement published twice at least in a newspaper generally circulating in the locality in which the road or, as the case may be, reserve is situated of the approximate time and the approximate localities when and where the poison or poison baits is or are intended to be used; and (c) (in each of such cases) by affixing, before the use of the poison or poison baits is commenced, and thereafter keeping affixed in a conspicuous manner on or in the immediate vicinity of the holding, road or, as the case may be, reserve such and so many notices as are reasonably sufficient to give public notice of the use of the poison or poison baits.".
