Queensland Reconstruction Authority Regulation 2011

1   Short title

This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Regulation 2011.

2   Disaster event—Act, s 6(c)

For the Act, section 6(c), the following are prescribed as disaster events—

(a)the floods caused by heavy rains in February 2011;

(b)the floods and landslides caused by heavy rains in March 2011;

(c)a flood, landslide or other disaster, within the meaning of the Disaster Management Act 2003, caused by heavy rains in April 2011.

3   Declaration of reconstruction area—Act, s 43(1)

(1)For the Act, section 43(1), the area marked as the reconstruction area on the map called ‘Declaration of Reconstruction Area - Grantham’ prepared and held by the authority is declared to be a reconstruction area.

(2)The map mentioned in subsection (1) is reproduced in schedule 1.

4   Approval of development scheme for the Grantham reconstruction area—Act, s 74

For the Act, section 74, the development scheme for the Grantham reconstruction area is approved.

(1)Subsection (2) is a direction for section 96 of the Act.

(2)The authority must undertake the works stated in schedule 2.

Title of works	Description
Toowoomba pipeline remediation works	All works necessary for the repair and restoration of the water pipeline known as the Toowoomba pipeline operating between Lake Wivenhoe and Lake Cressbrook, to the extent the works relate to damage resulting from the floods caused by heavy rains in January 2011.
