Queensland Queensland Reconstruction Authority Amendment Act 2013 Act No. 1 of 2013 An Act to amend the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Act 2011 for particular purposes [Assented to 19 February 2013]

Queensland Reconstruction Authority Amendment Act 2013 [s 1] The Parliament of Queensland enacts— 1 Short title This Act may be cited as the Queensland Reconstruction Authority Amendment Act 2013 . 2 Act amended This Act amends the QueenslandReconstructionAuthorityAct 2011. 3 Amendment of s 2 (Main purpose of Act) Section 2, from ‘to ensure’— omit, insert — ‘— (a) to ensure Queensland and its communities effectively and efficiently recover from the impacts of disaster events; and (b) to improve the resilience of communities for potential disaster events.’. 4 Amendment of s 6 (Meaning of disaster event ) Section 6— insert — ‘(ba) the storms, tornadoes and floods caused by ex-tropical cyclone Oswald and associated heavy rains in January and February 2013;’. 5 Amendment of s 10 (Authority’s functions) Section 10(1)— insert — Page 4 2013 Act No. 1
