Application to terminate the Journalists (Brisbane News) Award 2004.

[1] On 25 October 2010, Queensland Newspapers Pty Limited made an application for Fair Work Australia (FWA) to terminate the enterprise instrument known as the Journalists (Brisbane News) Award 2004 (the Award). The application was made pursuant to Item 5(1) of Schedule 6 to the Fair Work (Transitional Provisions and Consequential Amendments) Act 2009 (the Transitional Act).

[2] I have considered the factors in Item 4 of Schedule 6 to the Transitional Act.

[3] The application is granted and the Award is terminated. The termination shall operate from 18 November 2010.
