These by-laws may be cited as the Queensland Museum Amendment By-laws 1991 . Amended by-laws 2. The Queensland Museum By-laws 1986 are amended as set out in these by-laws. Amendment of by-law 14 (Entry and removal) 3. By-laws 14(6) and (7)— omit, insert ‘(6) An authorised officer may refuse to admit to the Museum a child apparently under the age of 10 years if the child is not accompanied by a person who is, in the opinion of the authorised officer, capable of effectively controlling the child.
2 Queensland Museum Amendment By-laws 1991 ‘(7) An authorised officer may direct a person to leave the Museum, or any other building or place under the Board’s management or control, where the person— (a) in the opinion of the authorised officer— (i) is committing an offence against these by-laws; or (ii) is or is reasonably likely to be offensive to other persons because of the person's condition, conduct or manner; or (b) is suspected on reasonable grounds by the authorised officer of having committed or being about to commit an offence against these by-laws. ‘(8) An authorised officer may remove a person who fails to comply with a direction given by the authorised officer under this by-law from the Museum, or other building or place under the Board’s management or control, as the case may be. ‘(9) In exercising a power given under this by-law, an authorised officer may— (a) obtain such assistance as is reasonably necessary for the effective execution of the power; and (b) use such force as is reasonably necessary, provided that any force used is not such as to cause bodily harm. ’.
