3 Queensland Marine (Air Cushion Vehicle) Amendment (No. 1) No. 145, 1992 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Marine (Air Cushion Vehicle) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1992 . ˙ Commencement 2. This regulation commences on 1 July 1992. ˙ Amended regulation 3. The Navigation (Air Cushion Vehicle) Regulation 1972 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Replacement of s.1 4. Section 1— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Short title ‘1. This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Marine (Air Cushion Vehicle) Regulation 1972 . ’. ˙ Replacement of ss.2 to 4 5. Sections 2 to 4— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Fees ‘2. The fees set out in the Schedule are the fees payable for the purposes set out in the Schedule. ˙ ‘Prescribed forms ‘3. For the purposes of the Act and this regulation, a prescribed form is a form approved by the Board for the purposes specified in the form. ’.

Section 8— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Calculation of survey fee ‘8.(1) The fee for the survey of an air cushion vehicle is calculated according to the vehicle’s length. ‘(2) The vehicle’s length is measured from the ends of its main structure (excluding the inflated skirt) parallel to the fore and aft centreline. ’. ˙ Amendment of s.19 7. Section 19(1)(b)(i)— omit. ˙ Replacement of s.21 8. Section 21— omit, insert— ˙ ‘Grant of certificate of competency ‘21. The Board must grant a certificate of competency to an applicant— (a) who passes the examination; and (b) whom the Board is satisfied has the qualifications, ability and general good character. ’. ˙ Amendment of s.23 9. Section 23(2)(a)— omit. ˙ Replacement of s.26 10. Section 26—
