1080 Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act Amendment Act 1987, No. 83 BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title . This Act may be cited as the Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act Amendment Act 1987. 2. Citation. (1) In this Act The Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act of 1961 is referred to as the Principal Act. (2) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act 1961-1987. 3. Amendment of s. 3. Matters , etc., to be published in Industrial Gazette. Section 3 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting all words from and including the words "in the administration of," to the end of the section and substituting the following words:- "for the purposes of or in the administration of the provisions of- (a) the Factories and Shops Act 1960-1987; (b) the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act 1961- 1987; (c) the Holidays Act 1983-1985; (d) the Anzac Day Act 1921-1987; (e) the Inspection of Machinery Act 1951-1985; (f) the Construction Safety Act 1971-1985; (g) the Industry and Commerce Training Act 1979-1986; (h) the Weights and Measures Act 1951-1983; (i) the Consumer Affairs Act 1970-1987; (j) the Workers' Accommodation Act 1952-1980; (k) the PastoralWorkers' Accommodation Act 1980; (1) the Workers' Compensation Act 1916-1986; (m) the Workers' Compensation (Lead Poisoning, Mount Isa) Acts 1933 to 1961; (n) any other Act prescribed by Order in Council published in the Gazette and in the Industrial Gazette.". 4. Amendment of s. 4. Pu blication in Industrial Gazette to have same effect as publication in Government Gazette. Section 4 of the Principal Act is amended by inserting after the words "specified in" the words "or prescribed under". 5. New s. 5. General protection for Proclamations etc. published in Industrial Gazette. A writing purporting to be a Proclamation or an Order in Council that at any time, whether before or after the commencement of the Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act

Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act Amendment 1081Act 1987, No. 83 Amendment Act 1987, was or is published in the Industrial Gazette in lieu of the Queensland Government Gazette shall be taken to be and to have always been a Proclamation or, as the case may be , an Order in Council duly made and to take , and to have always taken, effect in law according to its terms and the provisions of the Act (if any) under which it is or was made. 6. New s. 6. General efficacy of Proclamations etc. published in Industrial Gazette. Where by any Act or law a writing of any description is required to be published in the Queensland Government Gazette, the Government Gazette or the Gazette or it is acknowledged that a particular consequence ensues by reason of a writing of any description being so published, whether the acknowledgment be expressed or implied therein, publication at any time, whether before or after the commencement of the Queensland Government Industrial Gazette Act Amendment Act 1987, in the Industrial Gazette of a writing of that description shall be taken to be and to have always been sufficient compliance to satisfy that Act or, as the case may be, to produce that consequence. 35
