210 ANNO VICESIMO OCTAVO ELIZABETHAE SECUNDAE REGINAE No. 24 of 1979 An Act to amend the Queensland Film Industry DevelopmentAct 1977 in certain particulars [ASSENTED TO 31ST MAY, 1979] BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:- 1. Short title and citation . (1) This Act may be cited as the Queensland Film Industry Development Act Amendment Act 1979. (2) In this Act the Queensland Film Industry Development Act1977 is referred to as the Principal Act, (3) The Principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Queensland Film Industry Development Act1977-1979. 2. Commencement . This Act shall commence on 1 July 1979.

Section 5 of the Principal Act is amended by, in the meaning of the term " Minister ", omitting the words " Premier of the State " and substituting the words " Minister for Culture, National Parks and Recreation ". 4. Amendment of s. 12 . Section 12 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), omitting paragraph (a) and substituting the following paragraph: " (a) the Co-ordinator, Department of Culture, National Parks and Recreation or, if the Co-ordinator nominates in writing in that behalf the holder of some other office in that Department (he being hereby thereunto authorized), the holder of that other office who shall be a member ex officio and the Chairman; ". 5. Amendment of s. 25. Section 25 of the Principal Act is amended by, in subsection (1), omitting the word " Co-ordinator-General " and substituting the words " Co-ordinator, Department of Culture, National Parks and Recreation ".
