Queensland Building Services Authority Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 [s 1] 1 Short title This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Building Services Authority Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 2008 . 2 Regulation amended This regulation amends the QueenslandBuildingServicesAuthority Regulation 2003. 3 Amendment of s 5 (Work that is not building work) (1) Section 5(1)(l)— omit, insert— ‘(l) construction, maintenance or repair of— (i) a busway or road; or (ii) a tunnel for a busway or road;’. (2) Section 5(5)— insert— busway means— (a) a route especially designed and constructed for, and dedicated to, the priority movement of buses for passenger transport purposes; and (b) places for the taking on and letting off of bus passengers using the busway; and (c) a causeway, culvert or other structure in, on, or under a busway that is associated with the busway. road (a) means an area of land, whether surveyed or unsurveyed— (i) dedicated, notified or declared to be a road for public use; or (ii) taken under an Act, for the purpose of a road for public use; and Page 2 2008 SL No. 307

(2) Schedule 2, part 3, section 2(7), ‘Carry out concreting’— omit, insert— ‘Concreting’. (9) Schedule 2, part 8A, section 2(1) and (2)— omit, insert— ‘(1) For the licence class mentioned in section 1(1)— (a) construction, installation, maintenance or repair of membrane shade structures, including metal brackets, cables and structural members for the structures; and (b) concreting work for footings for the structures; and (c) prepare plans and specifications for membrane shade structures if the plans and specifications are— (i) for the licensee’s personal use; or (ii) for use in building work to be performed by the licensee personally. ‘(2) For the licence class mentioned in section 1(2)— (a) construction, installation, maintenance or repair of signs and supporting structures for signs; and (b) concreting work for footings for supporting structures for signs; and (c) prepare plans and specifications for signs and supporting structures for signs if the plans and specifications are— (i) for the licensee’s personal use; or (ii) for use in building work to be performed by the licensee personally.’.
