2 Queensland Building Services Authority Amendment (No. 1) No. 25, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Queensland Building Services Authority Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1993 . ˙ Amended regulation 2. The QueenslandBuildingServicesAuthorityRegulation1992 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s.3 (Interpretation) 3. Section 3(1)— insert— ‘ “Building By-laws” means the Standard Building By-laws within the meaning of the Building Act 1975 ; ’. ˙ Amendment of s.4 (Definitions that apply for the purposes of the Act (s.4(1)) 4. Section 4 (definition “exempt building work” , paragraph (y))— omit, insert— ‘ (y) building work carried out personally by the owner of the land on which the work is carried out if— (i) the value of the work is less than $6 000; or (ii) an approval of a local authority in relation to the carrying out of the work is not required under the Building By–laws; ’.
