Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (Delegated Site) Amendment By‑laws (No. 3) 2024

Made under section 20(1) of the Act by The Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre Trust with the approval of the Governor in Executive Council.

1.Citation

These by-laws are the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (Delegated Site) Amendment By‑laws (No. 3) 2024.

2.Commencement

These by-laws come into operation as follows —

  • (a)

    by-laws 1 and 2 — on the day on which these by-laws are published on the WA legislation website;

  • (b)

    the rest of the by-laws — on the day on which the Police Legislation Amendment Act 2024 section 10 comes into operation.

3.By-laws amended

These by-laws amend the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre (Delegated Site) By‑laws 1986.

4.By‑law 7 amended

In by‑law 7(1) in the definition of prohibited item after paragraph (d) insert:

  • (da)

    an article with a sharpened edge, that is reasonably capable of being held in 1 or both hands, and that is made or modified to be used —

  • (i)

    to injure or disable a person; or

  • (ii)

    to cause a person to fear that someone will be injured or disabled by that use; or

  • (iii)

    for attack or defence in the practice of a martial sport, art or similar discipline;

or
