Preamble.

TA rHEREAS tlierc is now no power to appoint a Deputy Chairman

of Quarter Sessions Be it therefore enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent iVIajesty by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Mmles in Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows :—

such Chairman at any General or Quarter Sessions of the Peace it shall be lawful for the Governor with the advice of the Executive Council to appoint as a Deputy Chairman some person duly qualified to be appointed a District Courts Judge And every such person so appointed Deputy Chairman shall have the same power authority and jurisdiction as if he had been appointed Chairman of Quarter Sessions under the District C’ourts Act of 1 8 6 8 .
