Imperial Act Acloj)tion.
Majesty Kin" George tlic Pourth in case of tlie cleatli resignation removal or illness of the said Chairman during the year for which he shall 1)0 so appointed and declared as aforesaid and whereas it is cx})edicnt to provide for the same Ec it therefore further enacted by the authority aforesaid That in case of the death resignation or removal of the Chairman so to he appointed and declared pursuant to the proA'isions of the said recited Act or Ordinance passed in the tentli year of llis said late Majesty or of any other Chairman to he appointed for any otlier district of the said Colony under the prolusions of this Act during the year for ivhich he shall he so appointed and declared as aforesaid by reason ivlioreof the place or situation of such Chairman shall become imid or if from illness he shall he unable to attend to the duties of his said office that then and in every such case it shall and may be laivful to and for the Goi'ernor of the said Colony for the time-being and he is hereby cmpoivered and authoriz.ed by any Notice in the Gocernincnt Gazette duly issued for such purpose to nominate and appoint some other lit ajid proper person to act as Chairman of such General Quarter Sessions as aforesaid for the residue of the year for wliich such Chairman had been nominated and declared as aforesaid or during the illness of such Chairman and that the person so to be ])ominated and appointed by the Governor as aforesaid shall during tiie period for ivhich he shall be so nominated and appointed to act as Chairman have such and the same power authority and jurisdiction as the said Chairman so to be appointed pursuant to the provisions of tlie said recited Act or Ordinance passed in tlic tenth year of the reign of llis said late Majesty or of any other Chairman of any other district of the said Colony to be appointed pursuant to the provisions of this Act or Ordinance.
