1 Name of determination
This determination is the Quarantine Service Fees Amendment (2014 Measures No. 1) Determination 2014.
2 Commencement
This determination commences on 1 July 2014.
3 Authority
This determination is made under the Quarantine Act 1908.
4 Schedule(s)
Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
Part 1—General amendments
Quarantine Service Fees Determination 2005
1 Subsection 5(1)
Repeal the following definitions:
(a) definition of AQIS;
(b) definition of AQIS entry management system;
(c) definition of AQIS holiday.
2 Subsection 5(1)
Insert:
Customs has the meaning given by section 4AA of the Customs Administration Act 1985.
3 Subsection 5(1)
Insert:
Departmental entry management system means an electronic import control system maintained and administered by the Department.
Departmental holiday, for the performance of a service, means a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or Friday that:
(a) is a day observed as a public holiday in the place where the service is performed; or
(b) falls in the period beginning on 27 December and ending on 31 December in a year.
4 Subsection 5(1) (definition of ICS)
Repeal the definition, substitute:
ICS (short for Integrated Cargo System) means the system of that name administered by Customs.
5 Subsection 5(1)
Insert:
kitten means a cat that is less than 12 weeks old.
pup means a dog that is less than 12 weeks old.
6 Subsection 7A(1)
After “38B”, insert “, 38C or 38D”.
7 Paragraph 7B(1)(a)
Omit “38C”, substitute “38E or 38F”.
8 Part 1 of Schedule 1 (table item 32, column 3)
Omit “item 36”, substitute “items 36 to 38”.
9 Part 3 of Schedule 1 (table item 36)
Repeal the item, substitute:
