REGULATION UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908–1920.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Quarantine Act 1908–1920, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Quarantine Regulations 1922.

The Quarantine Regulations 1922 (Statutory Rules No. 18 of 1923) are amended—

(1) by inserting the following words at the end of paragraph (1) (b) in regulation No 119:—

“Provided that scoured wool from Great Britain shall be admitted without treatment or disinfection if each consignment is accompanied by a certificate from a responsible officer of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, countersigned by an inspector at the port of shipment, stating that the wool has been effectively scoured, and setting out particulars of the process of scouring to which it has been subjected”

(2) By inserting the following words after the word “seeds” in the second line of paragraph (j) of regulation 128:—

“Bulbs, nuts, or similar plants.”
