REGULATION UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908-1915.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the Quarantine Act 1908-1915, to come into operation forthwith.

Amendment of Quarantine Regulations 1917.

The Quarantine Regulations 1917 (Statutory Rules No. 112 of 1917) are hereby amended by omitting regulation 78 (g), and by inserting in its stead the following:—

78(g). In the case of Cattle, Sheep or Swine imported for immediate slaughter from any country approved by the Minister:—

1. A certificate from a Government Veterinary Inspector of the country of origin to the effect that they have been inspected immediately prior to shipment and are free from disease.

2. A declaration by the owners or importers that they will slaughter the animals within three days of the arrival of the animals in Australia.
