STATUTORY RULES.
PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908-12.
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of
urgency, the following Regulation under the

Amendment of Quarantine Regulations 1911.
(Statutory Rules 1911, No. 121.)
I. Regulation No. 70 of the
Quarantine Regulations 1911 (Statutory Rules No. 121 of 1911) is
(A) In the case of any horse, ass, or mule, from New Zealand:—
1. A declaration from the owner, certifying—
(
a ) That the animal has been free from disease during the six months next preceding the date of shipment;(
b ) that it has not been in contact with any animal suffering from disease during the six months next preceding the date of shipment2. A certificate by a Government Veterinary Surgeon—
(
a ) That the animal is free from disease; and(
b ) that he has knowledge that the animal has not been within any country from which the importation of horses into Australia is prohibited under the Commonwealth of Australia Quarantine Act within the three years next preceding the date of shipment.
II. This Regulation shall cease to have effect on the date upon which the Quarantine Regulations 1915 (Statutory Rules 1915, No. 88) come into operation.
