REGULATION UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908-1924.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation
under the

Amendment of the Quarantine (Plants) Regulations.
Regulation 21 of the Quarantine (Plants) Regulations is amended—
(
a ) by inserting in sub-paragraph (1.) of paragraph E, after the word “country” (first occurring), the words “(other than swedes from New Zealand)”; and(
b ) by inserting after that sub-paragraph the following sub-paragraph :—“(1a.) In the case of swedes from New Zealand, a certificate dated and signed by a responsible officer of the Department of Agriculture of that country stating that the swedes have been topped, tailed and washed and are packed in new bags.”.
