Quarantine (General) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice
of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under
the

(a) by omitting from subregulation (2) “Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, the master” and substituting “The master”;
(b) by omitting subregulation (4) and substituting the following subregulation:
“(4) Subregulations (1) and (2) do not apply to the master of a vessel (not being an aircraft) that has been inspected by a quarantine officer and has been found to be free of rats.”; and
(c) by omitting from subregulation (5) “Where the master of a vessel fails to comply with a requirement of sub-regulation (1) or (2) of this regulation” and substituting “Where the master of a vessel fails to comply with a requirement of subregulation (1) or (2), being a person to whom that subregulation applies”.
