REGULATIONS UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908-1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Quarantine Act 1908-1973.

Amendments of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations

Repeal of regulations 25, 27 and 66.

1. Regulations 25, 27 and 66 of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations are repealed.

Feathers.

2. Regulation 81 of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (a).

Meat edible parts of animals, &c.

3. Regulation 82 of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-paragraph (iv) of paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1) the words “ (other than poultry) ”;

(b) by omitting sub-paragraph (v) of paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1);

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (1b) the words “ other than such meat and parts prepared in and imported from New Zealand ”; and

(d) by omitting paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (2).
