REGULATIONS UNDER THE QUARANTINE ACT 1908-1950.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Quarantine Act 1908-1950.

AMENDMENTS OF THE QUARANTINE (ANIMALS) REGULATIONS. 

Wool.

1. Regulation 80 of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended by adding at the end of sub-regulation (3.) the words “and the Chief Quarantine Officer of the State or Territory into which it is proposed to import the wool is satisfied that no further treatment is necessary”.

Meat, edible parts of animals, etc.

2. Regulation 82 of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (ca) of sub-regulation (1.).

Examination of animals for export.

3. Regulation 96A of the Quarantine (Animals) Regulations is amended by omitting from sub-regulation (1.) the words “any horses, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, dogs or poultry” and inserting in their stead the words “an animal that is a bird or mammal”.
