AN ACT to amend section ten of the Purchasers'

Protection Act, 1933-1936.

[Assented to 24th January, 1947.]

BE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty,by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Short title.

1.

This Act may be cited as the Purchasers' Protection Act Amendment Act, 1946, and shall be read as one with the Purchasers' Protection Act, 1933-1936 (Act No. 44 of 1933 as amended by Acts No. 43 of 1934 and No. 41 of 1936), hereinafter referred to as the principal Act.

Section ten of the principal Act is amended by

inserting after the word "contract," in the tenth line,

the words :—

" or that, within three months prior to the appli- cation of the purchaser hereinafter mentioned, the valuation for rating purposes of the land by the Local Authority, as defined in section five of the Road Districts Act, 1919-1943, is less than fifty per centum of the original purchase price under the contract."
