REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE ACT 1913-1965.*

THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations
under the

Amendments of the Public Works Committee Regulations
“5. The prescribed scale for the purpose of section 27 of the Act is the scale in the Schedule to these Regulations.”.
“5a.—(1.) The prescribed scale for the purposes of sub-section (2.) of section 32 of the Act is $10.50 per day to $52.50 per day.
“(2.) An assessor who is required to travel for the purposes of advising the Committee or a Sectional Committee shall be paid a reasonable amount for the costs of his conveyance and, if he is required to be absent overnight from his usual place of residence, a reasonable amount for accommodation and sustenance.”.
(
a ) by omitting from paragraph (a) of sub-regulation (1.) the words “Five pounds five shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Ten dollars and fifty cents”;(
b ) by omitting from paragraph (b) of sub-regulation (1.) the words “Four pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “Eight dollars”;(
c ) by omitting from sub-paragraph (i) of paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (1.) the words “Six pounds” and inserting in their stead the words “Twelve dollars”;(
d ) by omitting from sub-paragraph (ii) of paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (1.) the words “Eight pounds ten shillings” and inserting in their stead the words “Seventeen dollars”; and
