Public Works Committee Regulations2(Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being satisfied that each authority of the Commonwealth specified in the following Regulation is engaging in trading or other activities, or is providing services, in competition with another body or other bodies, or with persons, hereby make the following Regulation under the Public Works Committee Act 1969.

 The Public Works Committee Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulation:

Non-application of Act to certain authorities

“12.

For the purpose of sub-section 6A (2) of the Act, it is hereby declared that the Act does not apply to the following authorities:

Australian Industry Development Corporation

Australian National Airlines Commission

Australian National Railways Commission

Australian Overseas Projects Corporation

Australian Shipping Commission

Commonwealth Banking Corporation

Commonwealth Serum Laboratories Commission

Health Insurance Commission

Qantas Airways Limited.”.
