Act N o . 118 , 1978 .

An Act to amend section 34 of the Public Works Act, 1912, to increase from $400,000 to $1,000,000 the estimated cost of public works which may be carried out without following the procedure prescribed by that section, and to make certain other amendments for the purpose of statute law revision. [Assented to, 21st December, 1978.]

BE it enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows :—

1. This Act may be cited as the "Public Works (Amendment)

Act, 1978".

1. This Act contains the following Schedules :—

SCHEDULE 1 . — A M E N D M E N T S TO THE P U B L I C WORKS

A C T , 1912.

SCHEDULE 2 . — A M E N D M E N T S TO THE P U B L I C WORKS

A C T , 1912, BY WAY OF STATUTE L A W REVISION.

1. The Public Works Act, 1912, is amended in the manner set

forth in Schedules 1 and 2.

(1) Section 2 4 —

Omit "forty thousand dollars", insert instead "$1,000,000".

(2) Section 3 4 —

Omit "four hundred thousand dollars" wherever occurring, insert instead "$1,000,000".
