PUBLIC WORKS (AMENDMENT)

ACT.

x\ct No. 19, 1922.

An Act to provide i'or the nomination, election, and George v,

appointment of the Parliamentary Standine; Committee oa Public Works during- any session of Parliament ; to vary the conditions under -which certain public -works may be authorised, and for those purposes to amend the Public Works Act, 1912 ; and for pur­ poses connected there-with. [Assented to, 9th Novembei’, 1922.]

lative Council and licgislutive Assemhly of ISew South AVales in Pai-liamcnt assembled, and by the authority of tin; same, as follows ; —

1 . This Act may he cit('d as the “ ru b lic M'orks short title,

(Amendment) Act, 1!)22.”

2. The Public \ro rk s Act, 1912, is amended as Amduunent

follows ; —

and insi'rting the following new subsection :—

(1) Upon a resolution lieing passed by the

Assembly that the Parliam entary Standing

Committee on Public AVorks he appointed, of

the passage of which the Legislative Council

shall he nformed by Alessage asking its

concurrene;-, the Speaker shall fix a date,

being w ithin a period of fourteen days from

the passing of tlie resolution, up to and

including -vhich he shall receive nominations

of meraliers of the Legislative Assembly for

election and appointm ent a‘s members of the

committee ;
