Public Transport Authority Amendment

Regulations 2018

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.             Citation

These regulations are the Public Transport Authority
Amendment Regulations 2018.

2.             Commencement

These regulations come into operation as follows —

(a)	regulations 1 and 2 — on the day on which these regulations are published in the Gazette;
(b)	the rest of the regulations — on the day after that day.

3.             Regulations amended

These regulations amend the Public Transport Authority
Regulations 2003.

4.             Regulation 5 amended

In regulation 5(h) delete “master,” and insert:

5.             Regulation 6 amended

In regulation 6(1) delete “master, or an” and insert:

6.             Regulation 41 amended

(1) In regulation 41:

(a) delete “A driver, master, or an” and insert:

(1) A driver, master or

(b) delete “master,” (2nd occurrence) and insert:

(c) in paragraph (n) delete “officer.” and insert:

officer; or

(d)

after paragraph (n) insert:

(o)	does not have a valid ticket; or
(p)	by boarding the conveyance, will cause or has caused the passenger capacity of the conveyance to be exceeded.

(2)	At the end of regulation 41 insert:
(2) In subregulation (1)(p) —

passenger capacity, of the conveyance, means the
number of passengers that the conveyance is permitted

to carry.

(3) A driver, master or authorised person may advise a
person that the person must not travel or remain on a
conveyance if the person tenders a $50 note or
$100 note in payment of the fare.

7.             Regulation 43 amended

In regulation 43(f) delete “master,” and insert:
