No. 14, ( c) The total incapacity benefit contributed for shall not exceed three units in the case of a male or two in the case of a female : Provided further that, in the case of a contributor of or over the age of sixty years, voluntary contribution under this subsection shall be made with the prior approval of the Board and under and subject to such terms and conditions as may be fixed by the Board. This subsection shall also apply to and with respect to any and every person not being a compulsory contributor for annuity benefit who, under and in pursuance of any provision of this Act, is at the said date or thereafter becomes a voluntary contributor for annuity benefit, and every such person may, notwithstanding anything to the contrar.y contained in this Act or in any Order in Council hereunder limiting in any way the benefits or any of the benefits for which he may contribute, become and be a voluntary contributor for the benefits or any of them mentioned in this subsection up to but not exceeding the respective totals thereof prescribed by this subsection. ( 4. ) An application by a contributor to contribute for assurance benefit may be for such benefit payable at death or payable at age sixty- five or death prior to age sixty-five. A contributor for assurance benefit payable at death may, at any time, apply to the Board to convert same into an assurance benefit payable at age sixty-five or death prior to age sixty-five and the Board may convert same accordingly upon such terms and conditions as may be determined by the Actuary and approved by the Board. ( 5. ) Every officer who immediately prior to the said date was contributing for benefits additional to the unit or units of annuity for which he is required by this section to contribute compulsorily shall, for the purposes of this Act, be deemed, on the said date and thereafter until he duly ceases to contribute for such additional benefits or any part thereof, to be a voluntary contributor for the same under and in pursuance of this Act. "

No. 14, reason of being of or over the age of sixty- five years or (in the case of a contributor under and in pursuance of a provision of subsection two of section thirteen of this Act) seventy years or consequent on his retirement before that age by reason of incapacity or ill-health and who, on the said day, is entitled to receive an annuity benefit from the Fund shall, on and after the said day, be entitled to receive an additional annuity benefit at the rate of fifty pounds per annum in respect of each unit " - " ­ of annuity for which he was, at the date of his retirement as aforesaid, a compulsory contributor under and in pursuance of this Act, which additional annuity benefit shall be payable monthly, or at shorter intervals if so prescribed, in addition to the annuity benefit receivable by him under and in pursuance of the provisions of section twenty- one of this Act ; ( b) Every person (including any person who became a contributor under and in pursuance of any provision of section three, section 3A, or subsection one or subsection two of section thirteen of this Act) who, before the said day, ceased to be an officer of the Public Service ( or, as the case may be, an officer or servant of the University of Queensland) consequent on his retirement before the age of sixty-five years or · (in the case of a contributor under and in pursuance of a provision 9f subsection two of section thirteen of this Act) before the age of seventy years by reason of incapacity or ill-health and who becomes entitled to receive an anm. rity benefit from the Fund on a date later than the said day shall, on and after ,such later date, be entitled to receive · an additional annuity benefit at the rate of fifty pounds per annum in respect of each unit of annuity for which he was at the date of his retirement as aforesaid a compulsory contributor under and in pursuance of this Act, which additional annuity benefit shall be payable monthly, or
