[ASSENTED TO 9TH DECEMBER, 1947.] B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lativeAssembly of Queensland in Parliament aclsembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows;- Short title I. This Act may be cited as "'The Public Service caonnds t ruet· Ion. Superannuation Acts Amendmen t Act oif 1947," a nd shall be read as one with *"The Pubhc Servtce Superannuatwn Acts, 1912 to 1937" (as amended by t" The Financial Emergency Act of 1931 "), herein referred to as the Principal Act. The second paragraph of section ten of the of8.10. Principal Act is repealed and the following paragraph is inserted in lieu thereof, namely;- "During the period of ten years commenced on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-seven, and during the two further periods of ten years each commenced respectively on the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and thirty-seven, and the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and forty-seven, the moneys to the credit of the Fund shall be, and it is hereby declared always were to be, credited with interest at the rate of five pounds per centum per annum in accordance with the monthly balance; and during such periods as aforesaid the Consolidated Revenue is, and it is hereby declared always was, hereby charged with the payment of the said interest at the rate aforesaid." * 3 G. 5 No. 28 and amending Acts. t 22 G. 5 No. 1.
