An Act to apply certain provisions of the Public Service Act of 1895, relating to the Superannuation Fund, to every person in the employment of the State. [10th November, 1896.]

B t he advice a n d consent of t h e Legislat ive Counci l and Legis la t ive

Assembly of N e w Sou th Wales in Pa r l i amen t assembled, and by t h e

au tho r i t y of t h e same, as follows :—

1. A n y person who, a t the commencemen t of this Act , is a

con t r ibu tor to t he	Superannua t ion	Accoun t unde r	t he Civil	Service
A c t of 1884, b u t who is not a n " officer " wi th in	the	m e a n i n g	of	the

P u b l i c Service Ac t of 1895, may, at any t ime before the twen ty - th i rd day of December , one thousand e igh t hundred and ninety-s ix , elect to d iscont inue con t r ibu t ing there to , in which event he shall be ent i t led to receive from t h e said account on his r e t i r emen t from his publ ic employment for any cause other t h a n an offence (or in t he event of his dea th before re t i rement , his representa t ive shall be ent i t led to receive) a refund of t h e a m o u n t paid there to u p to t he da te of his so electing,

toge ther wi th in teres t thereon a t t he ra te of th ree per c e n t u m per

a n n u m from the da te of his ceasing to con t r ibu te . A n d every person as aforesaid who, unde r t he provisions of this Act , ceases to cont r ibute to t h e said account , shall the reupon cease to be ent i t led to any r igh t in or benefit from such account , except such refund and in teres t aforesaid.

2. This Act may be cited as t he " Pub l i c Service (Superannua­

tion) Act , 1896 . "
