REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1972.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1972, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby approve the following Regulations.

Amendment of the Public Service Regulations 

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the first day of July, 1973.

Conditions of transfer or promotion from Fourth Division to Third Division.

2.—(1.) Regulation 112 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from the table in sub-regulation (1a.) the words—

“Leaving Examination held before the Grade D or a higher grade year 1966

Leaving Examination held in the year Grade 3 or a higher grade 1966 or a subsequent year”.

(2.) An officer who has been an officer continuously since the thirtieth day of June, 1973, and held, on that day, the appropriate educational qualifications for transfer or promotion to the Third Division under regulation 112 of the Public Service Regulations as in force on that day continues to hold the appropriate educational qualifications for transfer or promotion to the Third Division for the purpose of regulation 112 of the Public Service Regulations as amended by the last preceding sub-regulation.
