Amendment of the Public Service Regulations
1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 1 July 1974·.
2. (1) Regulation 112 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting from the table in sub-regulation (i) the words—
“ School Leaving Examination.......................................................................... | Pass |

Girls’ Secondary Schools Leaving Certificate................................................. | Pass |

(2) Notwithstanding the amendment made by sub-regulation (1) an officer who has been an officer continuously since 30 June 1974 and who held, on that day, the appropriate qualifications for transfer or promotion to the Third Division within the meaning of regulation 112 of the Public Service Regulations as in force on that day and, by reason of the amendments made by sub-regulation (1) would, but for this sub-regulation, cease to hold those qualifications, continues to hold the appropriate qualifications for transfer or promotion to the Third Division within the meaning of that regulation as in force from time to time.
