REGULATIONS UNDER THE PUBLIC SERVICE ACT 1922-1973.*

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922-1973, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Amendments of the Public Service Regulations 

Allowances to veterinary officers and meat inspectors.

1. Regulation 792 of the Public Service Regulations is amended by omitting the table in sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following table:—

2. After regulation 95a of the Public Service Regulations the following regulation is inserted:—

Allowance for low-level flying activities.

“ 95b. An officer or employee (other than an officer or employee who is a ‘ flight crew member ’ as defined in sub-regulation 5 (1) of the Air Navigation Regulations) who is required to perform duties in an aircraft which for all or any part of a flight is required to fly at a height of 700 metres or less above ground level for the purposes of the operation on which it is engaged to enable those duties to be performed shall be entitled to be paid an allowance at the rate of 45 cents per hour for each hour or part of an hour for the whole of the time of any such flight.”.

3. Regulation 109d is amended—

(a) by omitting sub-regulations (2), (3), (3a), (3b), (3c) and (4); and

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (6) the words “ or his deputy ”.
