Public Service Regulations2 (Amendment)

THE PUBLIC SERVICE BOARD, acting in pursuance and exercise of the authority conferred upon it by the Public Service Act 1922, hereby makes, subject to the approval of the Governor-General, the following Regulations.

Commencement

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the day on which section 19 of the Public Service Reform Act 1984 comes into operation.

2. After regulation 8 of the Public Service Regulations the following regulations are inserted:

Prescribed hours of attendance of part-time officers for purposes of paragraphs 29c (2) (a) and (b) of the Act

“9. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 29c (2) (a) of the Act 30 hours per week is prescribed in relation to all offices.

“(2) For the purposes of paragraph 29c (2) (b) of the Act 15 hours per week is prescribed in relation to all offices.

Prescribed hours of duty per week for purposes of sub-paragraph (b) (ii) of the definition of employment in sub-section 87 (1) of the Act

“10. For the purposes of sub-paragraph (b) (ii) of the definition of “employment” in sub-section 87 (1) of the Act, the prescribed number of hours is .”.
